This movie was one of the most painful and boring experiences of my life. I honestly wonder why anyone bothered, much less cared.

I think this movie is annoying, but I liked it just because of this scene.

The movie's pretty worthless but this always gets me.

This movie was, in fact, a classic and Kip's smile in this scene should have netted him an academy.

It looks like the device is an attempt to stimulate the ends of the sushumna to produce a kind of altered state. Current through the channel running up the spine. Funny what the New Age mind will produce when ignorant of basic scientific practicality. Without bothering to look for it online, I imagine someone actually made and possibly sold this for a very limited period of time.

Someone email me the 50 page inside joke pamphlet that would explain why this movie is funny.
The inside joke is this: people without a huge stick up their butt who can unselfconsciously enjoy movies without first checking to see if the cool kids are laughing find the story of the triumph of a nerdy kid from Idaho and his Mexican friend to be funny
So you have to be a nerd still bitter over the "cool kids" mocking them, gotcha.
It's funny because the characters are funny characters, but I agree the hipsters really ran wild with this one, or was it tweens, I can't remember
