American corporate media is utterly incompetent and incapable of covering a republican president in an accurate way.

He’s spewing proven lies, slander, conspiracies and propaganda on an hourly basis and the media basically just parrots it 24/7.

A democratic president so much as farts and it’s reported as a scandal.

2016 never ended and no lessons were learned. Rating are god, who cares if Rome is burning.

Just you wait until this fucker wears a tan suit or asks for hot mustard on his burger. Then the media will spring into action, holding him accountable for his misdeeds!

Oh yes. Then the fur will fly. There will be blood in the streets. Dogs going to see Cats. Anarchy. Death. Destruction. The end of civilisation as we know it. As anyone knows it. A thousand years of darkness followed by plagues of mayflies. And an undeniable fishy odour.

Only then will the old ones rise again to take their rightful place as rulers of this pathetic world.

"Dogs going to see Cats"

They'll hold him accountable when he pulls a Dean scream.

So many of his supporters shouted "FAKE NEWS!" when it broke that Trump asked a foreign government for help smearing a political rival.

Then, when Trump outright admitted to it, they were, like, "So what?"

And when he did it again live on national television, they were all, "He has every right...no, DUTY to do that!"

Fuck these people. I will never forgive them.

It's been 28 years since I got my expert rifleman badge in the USAR, but if Trumpists start their civil war, sign me up for the Constitutionalists.

When the Right complain about THE MEDIA as a single entity, it's usually because they want to deny reality. When it's being done on the Left, I want to be more generous, but at the very least it's simplistic. The fact is that criticism of the Republican President has been taken over by Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel. It's effective. And CNN and MSNBC tear into Trump pn a daily basis. I saw that same clip several times on YouTube yesterday, accompanied by negative commentary, all the way up to cruel (but not undeserved) mockery. From corporate media.

Now, there's a whole lot of the corprate media that needs to learn some lessons. First off was NBC who gave America 14 years of THE APPRENTICE. I still think that people who never watched The Apprentice (I saw it only a couple of times) underestimate its impact. It was a huge hit, with a huge faithful audience, and it was on for 14 years. That's still only a fraction of Trump's career as a lying, disaster of a politician. Millions of people think they know him.

But real criticism is hard. Blanket condemnation of THE MEDIA is easy, which is why it goes down on both sides.

There was a moment this summer when most of the mainstream media stopped calling Trump's rhetoric "racially charged" or whatever, and started calling it "racist", because there is a point where a whole lot of judgement calls add up to an objective fact. This reflects how perception has changed on Trump, outside the base.

It may be that by being such a cartoonishly over the top scumbag, Trump is teaching the media how to finally call racism racism and a lie a lie.

The people will love you if you tell them to hate rich people but make sure those rich people aren't actually the rich people.
