Smells like 4 more years.

Ugh - 2020-02-29

i sure do hope a nice moderate democrat can swoop in and save us all from ourselves

Meerkat - 2020-02-29

It would be great if the media would learn that the people calling them Liberal Media are gonna keep calling them Liberal Media no matter how many hippies they punch.

Meerkat - 2020-02-29

Actually I guess a big part of the problem is they are too invested in the status quo and cashing in themselves.

Or it's just repeat of 2016. Bernie wins the early round, overwhelmingly white middle class flyover states and victory is declare victory because people still give a shit about the inflated importance of Iowa and New Hampshire. Then he gets rolled when it comes to states that actually matter. Supporters will declare DNC conspiracy, and pretty much anything else other than the fact that Bernie simply got fewer votes.

And dopes like this will do their best to undermine any chance at stopping Republicans.

Iowa delegate @chris_laursen: "Bernie basically fed us a bunch of Mountain Dew and now he wants us to go to bed. It’s not going to happen."

I prematurely repeated victory twice, just like the Sanders campaign!

Ugh - 2020-02-29

i'm real curious, what is your best case scenario for the US with president bloomberg

Nominal - 2020-02-29

That it's not the US with president Trump?

SolRo - 2020-02-29

Sanders is still beating trump in national polling. I think his numbers will go up as he secures the nomination and as trump utterly bungles the pandemic response and the stock market shits red all over the walls

Ugh - 2020-02-29

that's a fine start, but all the election of a moderate dem will do is result in pausing the veneer of our status quo while the entrenched power mongers dig out at the foundation below

then again i do look forward to starting my own gofundme in forty years so i can afford to retire in my mid 70s

i live with a family of four so i can afford rent, i'm taking this shit kinda personally

Nominal - 2020-02-29

It's weird though that you assume not being a Bernie fan defaults to an ardent Bloomberg supporter?

Oh look, Biden just took South Carolina!

The staggered primary can't be replaced fast enough.

Ugh - 2020-03-01

i presumed bloomberg because you left the door open on your preference, so i wound up giving you the worst case scenario to prod your rationale

poorwill - 2020-03-01

sc is basically all biden has. bernie does better than biden in national polls against trump. among poc, only older black people favour biden, and now it's by a small margin - many have drifted to sanders over the past couple of months. get out of the way, dumbass.

Old_Zircon - 2020-03-01

"Ugh - 2020-02-29

Living to 70 sounds pretty bougie to me.

Ugh - 2020-03-01

i'm desperate and it's the year 2059; please donate to keep my datajack plugged in and powered on. please find it in your heart to pokemon gofundme because i didnt have the foresight to invest in google in my teens and laughed too hard at bitcoin in its infancy

god bless

teethsalad - 2020-03-02

biden wins one primary out of thirty years of campaigning to be president and we're supposed to fall head-over-heels once again for the microwaved third-way melba toast non-solutions that got us exactly where we are today

Chicken the Did - 2020-02-29

Regardless of what one thinks of Bernie there is a gruesome reality in this capitalist system: There are those that matter and those that are considered irrelevant. As far as the latter... These poor, damned souls do not influence anything. They lack the capital to change anything or get remotely close to the levers. They are considered -nothing- and being in that caste is sort of a living death. Or if you were one of the unfortunates in Grenfall... An actual death. Literally no one that could help cares. This is why almost a decade later nobody has not-fucked-up water in Flint and the piece of shit sitting at the oval office mockingly tossed a roll of paper towels at the people of Puerto Rico.

The appeal of Bernie is he actually does seem to notice a bunch of people are suffering. As opposed to somebody who may be aware people are suffering but figures they are victims of their own circumstances anyway and they entire system has rightfully moved on without wasting time and money on them. They world doesn't need them and doesn't even have to pretend to need them.

A person kind of ends up like... You lived in a place all your life but suddenly you become this unwanted outsider. They only thing people want for you is to go ----> that way and keep going till you fall off the face of the earth. And if you don't go that direction you will be SHOVED that way by force. So all the establishment people-who-matter who kiss up to Bloomberg could spend a summer vacation at one of Pol Pot's five star resorts as far as I am concerned. I hate them. With every fiber of my being. :D

Old_Zircon - 2020-03-01

And now Warren has publicly said that she is going to st in the race despite currently polling lower than Hillary Clinton (who isn't even running) for the specific goal of getting as many primary delegates as possible. Which is a plausibly deniable (barely) way of saying "to scrape off as many delegates from Sanders as possible in order to force a brokered convention with enough of a margin to make it politically feasible for the DNC to appoint any candidate who isn't Sanders regardless of the popular vote."

Ugh - 2020-03-01

warren went from someone i'd love to have seen in bernie's cabinet (or even a front runner given different circumstances) to persona non grata so fast my head is still spinning

Old_Zircon - 2020-03-01

Once a Republican, always a Republican I guess.

Ugh - 2020-03-21

oh good the details of her donors is coming to light

let's see, she's taking super pac money from people who've donated heavily to known left-leaning ideologist... joe arpaio

sounds about right

Gmork - 2020-03-02

Why are people pretending anyone wants Bloomberg or biden? Nominating either is a guaranteed 4 more years for trump

Nominal - 2020-03-04

Can someone explain all the "DNC conspiracy to ignore the popular will of the people" and "nobody wants Biden" statements in the face of Bernie (once again) getting rolled by every state without an overwhelming white majority?

Nominal - 2020-03-04

I mean, do people honestly think the DNC is rigging the popular vote in every state?

SolRo - 2020-03-04

Can you explain why you’re back here trying to start shit and trying to get everyone to tell you how right you are?

Nominal - 2020-03-04

Resident non-shit starter and agreeable fellow, SolRo.

Gmork - 2020-03-04

In this case you're both odious punks.

Nobody (with a brain/heart/soul) wants biden. There, fixed it for you.

Nominal - 2020-03-05

That's an awful lot of soulless people.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-primary-elections/result s-map

So where is the "DNC stealing nomination" and "nobody wants Biden" consensus coming from? Every possible measure says otherwise.

Gmork - 2020-03-06

"That's an awful lot of soulless people"

Or brainless. There was more than one qualifier.

Nominal - 2020-03-05

(and nobody with a heart or soul values their toy gun security blankets over shooting victims' lives, you goddamn nut Gmork)
