No one's pretending. If you say you're not a Republican, I assume that you're telling the truth, but I don't care much what you are if you're going to make identical arguments. You probably think you're being nuanced or something, but when you claim there's no difference between Trump and Biden, that's the opposite of nuance.
I live in upstate New York, 184 miles from New York City, according to google. This whole county has seen 30 confirmed coronavirus deaths. I think that's pretty good for a place as close as we are to the world's hotspot. And I think Andrew Cuomio probably deserves credit for that.
But that's ultimately unprovable. Trump isn't directly responsible for the number of deaths, he's responsible for the shit job he's doing.
Bill Clinton would have started an initiative to add our ability to test. Bill Clinton wouldn't have politicized the virus, and he wouldn't have encouraged people to gather and protest. Bill Clinton wouldn't have encouraged divisiveness, misinformation and magical thinking. Yes, I think less people would have died, with nearly anyone else as president, including Nixon, Reagan, or Bush, but the big difference is where we go from here? How do we get out of this? Testing is how people can get back to work, and Trump is doing nothing about that.
