The cloudflare DDoS Protection thing is annoying cuz it breaks youtube-dl (you have to right-click on "Original Link" to get the youtube URL).

The new captcha is completely breaking it though. TWO LAYERS of captcha or I have to install a fucking add-on to use an old website? Why is this necessary?

I would legit be really sad if poetv dies. It's one of the few relics of old internet that I still participate in. Even worse is that the owner/admin is so incommunicative I probably would never find out WHY.

I don't know if anyone remembers how much abuse I used to take, around 2005, when I was George W. Butch, Beardo McLinux., and Jason Head. I'm not going to say that I deserved it, but looking back, I get it. I needed to up my game. To my credit, I kept coming back, because POE, in whatever form, is the smartest place I've ever found on the internet that isn't, you know, too smart for me.

Once, in Poe Red, I riefly flirted with a woman who reminded me of an old girlfriend. It was a brief moment of horrible cringiness, and it became a traumatic shitstorm. There were people who never forgot. Disgruntled Goat confronted me with the link two and half years later. Years later, when I learned that Poe Red was going offline, my first reaction was a flood of relief that my shame had been deleted.

After all that, I'm not going to let a captcha stop me.
