I think it's Trebek doing his job. There's a period in '91 where he hosts three shows at once (Classic Concentration, Jeopardy!, To Tell the Truth) for a period, and Trebek's there as a permanent fill-in for TTtT's two prior hosts. It's a man hosting three shows and not looking out of place in any of them vs. a videographer asking Trebek to deadpan rap lyrics in an attempt to catch the tail end of a "viral" trend.
