Literally every position of power in PA outside of pitt and philly is occupied by a doughy man with bad hair and male pattern baldness that is someone's son and has been there for 30 years. I've never really been to the south much, but it's like all the negative stereotypes about the south without the charm or good food. Also just as racist; there was a recent story about my and Jake's home town having to clean up a bunch of Patriot Front graffiti. Our high school mascot is the "Red Raider" with a big Sioux war bonnet (central PA is a little ways from the Dakotas) and they recently tried to change it and it got a massive backlash and they kept it.
I grew up in Atlanta and would visit relatives from that region. Thwy would joke like I was a redneck, but their crumbling former steel town is the most rednecky and racist place Ive ever been.
