I am sorry for his suffering, but I'm glad he's gone. I think Rush Limbaugh did more than anyone, and I mean ANYONE, to where we are. He normalized making shit up, and he normalized meanness. He normalized making up your facts, and he normalized MEANNESS.

I first encountered Rush Limbaugh in 1991, and I was intrigued. He was really funny. I listened to him a lot back then. The book that I linked to above may have saved me from a horrible fate.
