In California we like to waste probably 50% of our total state water consumption growing lawns as agriculture (Alfalfa for animal feed), exporting those lawns to generate private profit, then use public funds and waste public water to protect those profits.
Also they are literally demanding we build dams to stop all rivers so that water can be diverted to private farmland.
Just destroy millions of acres of river and estuary wildlife so some rich hicks in the Central Valley can keep exporting almonds to China.
