The presenter is very familiar with the drag artform and considers it to be adult entertainment. Popular culture has been influenced by the popularity of RuPaul's Drag Race to a point where it's edgy family entertainment in the same vein that the Simpsons was in the 90's. Plenty of parents felt the Simpsons was too adult oriented and yet other families let the kids watch it. I definitely find it creepy that some people are convinced Desmond is going to grow up to be a drag performer. It's as though his identity affirms other adult performer's identities, which is weird and creepy.
