We get those when a thermocouple breaks. It sends the average temperature to the imaginary range of negative 14,000 Celsius which does terrible things to our uniformity tests (solar panel testing).

Yes. They suck! Just look at the results man. Almost every website nowadays = 100MB of javascript garbage. iOS, android, OSX, Windows, all fucking suck and keep getting worse, cus theyre not the result of engineers trying to do a good job and make an OS that allows users to do the most, they're the result of smoothbrain business and marketing guys and their ham fisted money grubbing scheme of the week.

Have you worked for any large company of any description? If you have you will have seen 1st hand how ludicrously wasteful they are. Eg. guy I know worked at HP factory and almost every day they dumped 1000's of ink cartriges cus of some mismanagement fuckup, but hey thats just business as usual. I once worked for a pharma company, and like 20 engineers ran the entire factory that made all the drugs. The factory was dwarfed by a giant office building with a couple thousand management types who "managed" those 20 workers + each other. They were able to make so much profit from the drugs the pointless bureaucracy expanded to fill the space available.

Software is even worse though I think, cus there are 0 standards and management have even *less* of a clue how anything actually works (if thats even possible)
