The thing that I've noticed about these happy travellers is that when you argue them to a standstill they will agree that Trump is bad. He has already deported more people than Trump did during his entire four years in office, he's refusing to offer COVID vaccinations to people in his concentration camps, and he is hugely increasing police funding (immigrants are disproportionately targets of police violence).

There's no hope in the Dems, but we can make the world a better place directly in our own communities, and that really makes a difference. Whether it's standing up to ICE / the cops and getting them to back down on their brutality, feeding the hungry, housing the unhoused, clothing the stranger, etc. Every little bit helps.
