When you're struggling to get by, someone else ahead of you in line to get ass raped is your only advantage. The thought of losing your little bit of privilege is terrifying. I've experienced this fear. Being 2nd in the assraping line is such a tiny bit of privilege, but the less privilege you have, the more you need it.

nobody on the bottom of the socioeconomic ladder in America thinks of themselves as privileged, the maga chuds recognize that they are considered expendable/deplorable by those in power, but they also think that the "others" are actually getting something from society/government (housing, money, healthcare, education) which of course just isn't occurring in any substantial way

so really it's about two downtrodden segments of society that each feel that the other is privileged, because it seems unbelievable that things really are as bad as they are for so many people in this country; "clearly everybody else is doing OK/getting what they need and it's just my segment that is being oppressed"

the way to combat this would be to 1. use government to address the material needs of the bottom 1/3rd of the economy, and see how they treat each other when they don't have to live in the Hunger Games or 2. just dump shittons of cash on completely unaccountable police departments and let them loose on an increasingly desperate and disenfranchised population

both political parties have enthusiastically chosen option #2, and pretend that option #1 is just completely insane or impossible

The best game to be playing here is the long one. The two part Motherfucker plan.

2. Ask every Republican to explain what CRT is, especially candidates. Ask questions. See if you can get them to do it on tape.

If there is anything we should have learned by now, it is that arguing with the MAGAGAs is pointless, counterproductive, and no fun. If you're having fun, that may be a sign that you're doing harm. No one's mind is changed by being treated like an idiot, especially idiots. You flat out shouldn't engage with the MAGAGAs if you can't be respectful, and since most MAGAGAs are brain-dead sister-fucking morons, being respectful can be a challenge.

But there are plenty of ordinary Americans who don't fuck their sisters wondering what the fuck CRT is right now, and that is your opportunity, not to save the world, but to help someone find access to accurate information they need to do the right thing. The best thing that you can do with the sister-fuckers is let them talk. Get them to go into detail. Get them on the record. Maybe the lies will collapse under their own weight. It's happened before.
