If you're counting any mainstream media as "the left" you're either being disingenuous or knowingly false. They are centrists and the fact that they occasionally come down on the right side of an issue isn't an indication of political affiliation but rather the subtle pressure to cater to one side or the other.
I watched years of anti trump media turn into YouTube clickbait specifically aimed at fueling the right's rage, almost overnight.

It happens that a lot of pretty basic humanitarian concepts are sometimes adopted by the media in an attempt to seem like they care about it, and that happens to coincide with the fact the left holds more humanitarian beliefs than the right.
