Man, Nimoy was such a strangely old-school guy, but in a classy way.

I remember reading that a couiple of his "lesser" co-stars (Takei & the guy who plays Chekov) had no idea that Nimoy was a friend on any level, until he refused to do the Star Trek cartoon show unless they also hired all the actors who played the secondary characters. (e.g. Uhuru, Sulu, etc.) Originally, they were only going to hire Bones, Kirk, and Spock.
