Question is will they bury themselves in that hole or all the untermensch.
Hole is big enough for everyone.
|Nominal - 2022-06-21 |
Digging a hole implies they will bury themselves.
Is this behavior even a liability anymore? They're doing a damn fine job of proofing themselves from democratic elections.
November is probably going to see some instances of Trump's Taliban riding up in technicals and disrupting/intimidating/murdering election officials.
Their candidates will win legitimately, largely by default.
Fascists are already using technicals to disrupt pride events. A group of them has been harassing students in north Texas with one (armed with an M2 browning 50 cal) for months.
But of course to the democrats, LGBT issues are not a priority; see Clinton's recent interview. Winning elections is all that matters.

>>>But of course to the democrats, LGBT issues are not a priority; see Clinton's recent interview. Winning elections is all that matters.
Which interview, and for that matter, which Clinton? And for THAT matter, who cares? Well, glasseye, because only people who hate the Clintons care about the Clintons anymore. They are no longer running the Democratic party. When Brett Kavanaugh complained that he was being targeted in revenge for Hillary Clinton, Democrats knew he was full of shit, but everyone else seems to think we go around sighing because we love the fucking Clintons so goddamn much.
>>>The Democrats won't suddenly start running on being the LGBTQ rights party or pro-choice party or pro-environment party. They'll be the, "Let's just put LGBTQ people and women who got illegal abortions in forced labor camps instead of executing them in the street,"
Okay, what's that?
Seriously, is there something that these guys are doing for choice, or the environment, or for LGBTQ rights, other than kvetching ever more shrilly about the Democrats? The Democrats are not the problem, and even if they're not the solution, THEY'RE STILL NOT THE FUCKING PROBLEM. Where are we going with all of this? I supported Biden over Trump, which is what Bernie Sanders did, but I'm not feeling very inspired by Grandpa Joe. I'd love to push us all to the left. Does anyone have a plan for that other than alienate everyone by being a total raging hardon who tells Democrats that they're the same as Republicans, which I can assure you is a great way to make us hate you. So you've made us all hate your guts, and I'm wondering is there a second step to this master plan?
>>>Two wings of the same bird, constantly marching to the right.
Not the first metaphor glasseye has botched.
This Navy Seal dipshit has crossed an important line here. He's not going after liberals or Democrats. This terrifying threat is aimed at other Republicans. To other Republicans, the distinction is going to matter. The base demands that the party alienate everybody else. The GOP base keeps escalating the rhetoric, and they keep making enemies. Including Republicans. I don't know what's going to happen, but what's happening now can't go on forever.
I'm going to keep voting Democratic, but that's not going to save us. Ordered this today, in audio form
John Holmes Motherfucker
Yeah, we're probably fucked. I feel like the best hope for humanity is the Star Trek scenario, where things get better, but first they get much much worse. The premiere episode of the new Trek series "Strange New Worlds" very explicitly links January 6 with the 21st century catastrophe that every Trek series has been eluding to ever since Ricardo Montalban first beamed off the Botany Bay and onto the Enterprise in 1967.

If the republicans keep going further right and the democrats keep splitting the difference to appeal to moderates, things keep moving further right. Roe is overturned, no gun control, no climate change action, most of Trump's immigration policy is still in place, etc.
What hole? This is an effective strategy.
|Crackersmack - 2022-06-21 |
Digging a big ol' hole that leads to once-in-a-generation legislative majorities because Democrats fumbled so badly.

Everyone knows what the GOP is.
Anyone who votes Republican is vile.
May they all rot in Hell.
Ditto for the dems that enable this shit.

The problem is, even though they don't make any changes for the good, the Democrats in power do act as a speedbump slowing the Republicans' efforts to make things worse.
It's the only reason they still get any votes.
But soon, the Republicans will have gotten everything they want and the Democrats will become virtually indistinguishable from them.
The Democrats won't suddenly start running on being the LGBTQ rights party or pro-choice party or pro-environment party. They'll be the, "Let's just put LGBTQ people and women who got illegal abortions in forced labor camps instead of executing them in the street,"
Hopefully, with nobody protecting the environment, the end of humanity will come sooner rather than later.
personally I'm counting on China to fix all this when they become the preeminent superpower
THIS IS WHAT ANCAP AND LIBERTARDS ACTUALLY BELIEVE
Please President Xi! Liberate my people!
