Honestly, I have little sympathy for people who go to these 'music' festivals. I have no idea what the draw is, I don't get it, nor do I want to.

I went to a sort of mini festival in Dublin last weekend. It was about as civilised as a festival could be though.. It was in the fancy mid 19th century national concert hall in Dublin. So during the day I could hang out and do normal Dublin stuff and on saturday and sunday night goto the 'festival' where they had headline acts Oneohtrix Point Never and Caterina Barbieri and 4 rooms of other stuff. The gigs were great + sound quality was amazing, instead of that festival-gig vibe of shit sound in a tent + audience not even paying attention, it was like a succession of normal gigs in proper venues.
+ It was like €50.. Probably best music-festival-like thing I've been to.
