She's lucky she didn't kill herself with that fly back transformer

I'm surprised I never triggered one when I was a kid. I would haul all sorts of electronics out of the trash to pull apart.

@potter if its been in the trash (therefore not plugged in) for a while then everything has discharged.

Also I dunno what a fly back transformer is and how it could shock u when unplugged. But those big fat capacitors she is putting her hand on could totally shock u when its unplugged.

She took apart a brand new TV, the high voltage hasn't even been able to attract any dust yet, and no capacitors have popped, though that wasn't as much of a problem in the 1990s.

I used to work on CRT TVs and monitors, and the 2nd anode to the picture tube was thing to watch out for high voltage, easily 25 kv but not dangerous unless you pull the 2nd anode out of socket on the tube.

Even unplugged the tube can hold a charge for weeks supposedly. I used a screwdriver with a clip lead to where the tube grounded to the chassis, slip the blade of the driver under the anode plunger and discharge the tube, then remove the plunger.

Bjork is a cool artist. I want to see her repair one of the monitors in the Army Of Me video.
