Kitty!

There's no such thing as "too disturbing" for a Cronenberg movie, but all the same it's a lot tighter without this scene.

Old_Zircon - 2007-07-23

I forgot this was Cronenberg! I'll have to see it again.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-07-22

I never saw the new version of the movie this far in. EWWWWWWWWW.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2007-07-22

Also, obligatory, "it worked on my pigeon rat!" reference.

Michael Houser - 2007-07-23

Can there be anything more simultaneously wonderful/vomitous than a scene that was actually CUT from Cronenburg's version of 'The Fly'?

Aernaroth2 - 2007-07-23

Its two, two, TWO pets in one!

Repomancer - 2007-07-23

There were two good things about the remake of "The Fly", and Geena Davis had both of them.

zatojones - 2007-07-23

I sort of wonder what he was hoping the accomplish with that experiment.

kthorjensen - 2007-07-23

Oh if you had an animal merger like you wouldn't just fuck around with it.

LetsFistAgain - 2007-07-23

The eye goes to Goldblum

Old_Zircon - 2007-07-23

WAY to goofy-looking to be genuinely disturbing at all. Great on its own, but the movie was probably improved by leaving it out.

Mother Lumper - 2007-07-23

I have to agree, the movie is better off for its exclusion. I think it was the whole experimentation with animals angle that might have killed any sympathy the audience would have had for Goldblum's character. Probably the weakest special effects scene aside from the lame butterfly baby ending that was also cut. I would have liked the creature to stand on its own more like the computer screen had rendered in wireframe.

The movie's finale is in the hopper but nobody's voting for it. :(

Xiphias - 2007-07-23

Yeah, I'm with Zircon. It just doesn't fit.

So do those teleporters run on dry ice or something?

Dr. Smooth - 2007-08-13

Why does the computer make those annoying sounds everytime any text comes up? I could not work like that.
