This is horrible, but I always wanted to see how the musical handled the prom scene. I deserved this.
I've been looking for footage from this musical since about 1989. It's spectacularly misguided, though you can kinda see what they were TRYING for (Robert Wilson horror-disco?) -- and that pyramid set didn't come cheap.

Yes. That alone cost 6 million dollars to achieve on stage.
It's her descent into madness! They should have had her swinging on a rope, to make it even more effective.

I would go see that again and again, especially if the bill included the off-broadway take on any Earnest movie.
This looks like something I would've seen on the Muppet Show. Was that the Angel of Death coming down for her at the end?
