I think a halo movie would actualy be better than the game.
Though that's not saying much.

Jesus Christ. They're ripping off Doom and doing those retarded first person perspectives.
Not that it wouldn't suck anyway, seeing as all game based movies do. And what the hell do you make a Halo movie about anyway?
(also, the abuse of terrible cgi in this clip makes Spiderman look excusable)
Seriously, Halo has an absolutely massive sci-fi mythology going on that could easily provide fertile ground for several films, especially if given a Lord of the Rings style treatment where most of the body of work is taken into consideration.
And game movies suck because for the most part they have virtually nothing in common with the source material or are based on games with little or no plot to begin with.

Sweet production values on that.

Makes you wish Neill Blomkamp had actually gotten to direct a full-length movie.
financing troubles have basically stopped all work on the film, I don't think they're even doing preproduction

The acting is terrible. This is the Trailer Park Boys in the Halo universe, and I can't decide whether that is awesome or shit.
I'd pay at least fifty dollars to see that. All riding a Warthog, blasting shitty bass.

Neil's style makes this kind of shit work really well.

The Cgi aliens look just realistic enough to apper as if they are people in rubber suits. And i'm fine with that.

I like Halo just fine.

This is about as good as the Silent Hill movie.

In the future, battles will be fought on rented paintball fields.

Wow, that is pretty well done, crappy video notwithstanding--I don't know, maybe the video even helps out with making the CGI look less fake.
That said, it's still just a rehashing of some videogame action, and I can't see how a feature-length story would really add very much beyond filling in the cutscenes from the game.
