A Jumping Spider! - 2007-11-07

night-night

coprolalia - 2007-11-07

Someday we'll resent our children for getting to grow up with robot friends.

Keefu - 2007-11-07

They're beginning to infiltrate our ranks

Caminante Nocturno - 2007-11-07

-1 because I don't want robots going to school with our children.

Shion - 2007-11-07

Awesome. Maybe I can get one instead of a kid.

zatojones - 2007-11-07

robo-segregation today. robo-segregation tomorrow. robo-segregation forever!

SolRo - 2007-11-07

I think this is a great example of us personifying something we don't understand, ie, to kids that know nothing of how anything works, they just assume it's a wierd looking person.

Can apply the same thing to religion.

But then again, kids that young tend to treat any moving thing as a person...dogs, cats, TV etc...until they are told or notice through observation that those things aren't treated as people by everyone else.

Syd Midnight - 2007-11-07

I wonder how that affects the uncanny valley. Is that something we learn, or do kids just wait till they grow up to complain how terrifying some puppets are?

petep - 2007-11-07

Can apply the same thing to religion.

Vicious - 2008-01-23

Um... God's a sleepy robot?

petep - 2008-04-04

i think i meant to comment somewhere else

petep - 2008-04-04

wait no i was making fun of solro

KnowFuture - 2007-11-07

I'd buy this if one of those toddlers pummeled the damn thing.

Thatcher Pennywhistle - 2007-11-07

Something about this makes me sad.

KnowFuture - 2007-11-07

I'm not saying I wish the little robot any harm, I'm just saying when toddlers start hitting you it's a pretty good sign they've accepted you as one of their own.

Syd Midnight - 2007-11-07

Ah, the difference between "a fragile and expensive toy" and "my robot buddy I can wrestle with and then pour water on to see what happens". No point buying kids the first kind.

Dr Dim - 2007-11-07

I just assumed SolRo was a weird looking person... until now.

Aubrey McFate - 2007-11-07

FIRST STEP BEFORE THEY KILL US LOL

Camonk - 2007-11-07

Jesus kids are idiots

Gwago - 2007-11-07

Wow, why don't we just lay down and die so they can take over the world?! DIDN'T ANYBODY SEE TERMINATOR DAMMIT?!?

Sorry. Robots make me crazy.

Hugo Gorilla - 2007-11-07

Now show them cheesy movies, the worse they can find.

Knuckles - 2007-11-07

At first I thought the idea of a bunch of toddlers doing MST3K would be horrible, but just imagine if every other joke was "...POOP!" It would be brilliant.

Hailey2006 - 2007-11-07

Those robots would be cool!

bang to buck ratio - 2007-11-07

:D

athodyd - 2007-11-08

I don't really like kids but I love baby robots.

fluffy - 2007-11-09

OUR PLANS ARE COMING TO PASS

yoyo1 - 2007-11-13

I don't think they're really considering it as one of them.

Calamity Jon - 2008-01-11

Same here. They're pretty clearly treating it as an anthropomorphic toy. I've never seen kids patting each other on the head as part of rote social interaction.

Explodotron - 2008-02-02

One word: Forced Robo-Human Integration

Shotgun Jackson - 2008-12-15

Next step is to mount a .45 on that robot.
