Those are American T6 trainers painted up like Zeros. HOW UNREALISTIC!
It's true. They really look nothing like actual Zeros. Awesome movie though
However those are modern life jackets they're wearing and certainly *not* "Mae West" types. WEAK!

Final Countdown loses a star because of the deus ex machina time vortex showing up just before the air strike reaches the Japanese fleet.
How is that a deus ex machina?
5 stars for reminding me why the F-14 Tomcat is the most badass airplane ever. Side note, a burst from the vulcan on the Tomcat would have ripped that wooden zero apart.
Actually it would have exploded first. To achieve their then impressive ability to climb and maneuver Zeros had almost no armor even around their fuel tanks. If you could manage to hit one there was a good chance it would blow up
A clip where a fighter plane's guns punch only a tiny hole in a human and you're calling foul on that?
