You know I can't stand gum-chewing in real life, I'm not sitting through it on video.

Stuff you, Mr. Too-Cool-For-School, this was a good show, and certainly one of the better detective shows in recent years. This pilot wasn't very good though, I can see why they just let the show drop. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't very much like the original show.

I couldn't care less about the quality of the programming, gum-chewing makes me homicidal.

Not that it is actually good, but interesting to see where they wanted to take it.

I'm not so sure they wanted to take it in this direction - as the story goes, this major overhaul of the show was a last effort to save the series. I don't blame them for not picking up this version of V.Mars, but I don't know why an overhaul was even necessary. I thought the first few seasons were doing fairly well, but I guess I was wrong! At least I get to see more Kristen Bell in Heroes.

Anyway, the clips were interesting. Good find!

Reminds me of the Miami Vice remake Fastlane made in the early 00's mixed with Law and Order.

Season three collapsed in on itself with lame new characters, this is a verrrry strange way to try to save it. Could have been fun though.

This show was on my campus so often it's not even funny. +5 for knee-jerk San Diego pride.

what gives with blurring out the fbi logos?

FABIO - 2012-10-21

I liked this show, but it was a good thing it was put down. You could see season 3 collapsing in on itself and it was time to pull the plug.

I'm not sure how this even would have worked. The whole lure of the show was Veronica fighting ostracization by using her detective skills against the unjust and powerful. Season 3's "The College Years" didn't work because nobody gives a fuck about cliques and status in college. This wouldn't work because 90% of Veronica's sleuthing was highly illegal.

How did they figure this would be interesting?

"Okay, so she's sitting in the office of a lecherous principal, trying to get him to proposition her on tape."

"Yeah?"

"Then he propositions her."

"Yeah?"

"Then they catch him."

"...yeah?"

"That's it."

Side rant: (spoilers)

Oh boy season 3.

-Everyone from her highschool goes to the same university.

-The fact that Logan's dad was executed by a professional hitman at the end of season 2 was NEVER ONCE mentioned.

-Rapid introduction/resolution of lame ongoing plots. Remember when they were trying to solve a whole bus full of people being killed by a bomb in season 2? Well now one guy gets shot!...in his sleep! Now someone released a hidden sex tape of Veronica! Can you feel the stakes going up?
