i appreciate you looking out for my entertainment, but my ignorance of stencil buffers would probably leave me paralyzed with bewilderment if I were to follow those links
I like how you link to an actual productive graphics researcher's page which has nothing to do with the area this video is even about but still make it sound as if you know what the fuck you're talking about.
I admit, it doesn't look like much, but you gotta understand that this was made on an old machine. Probably didn't have more than 2 buffers dedicated to stencils/stenciling. Nowadays, they just give each stencil a buffer and walk away. The days of the true SB artist are nearing an end :(.
