Impressive, but I prefer old school, non-bullet hell shooters. Mostly because I could actually play those.

I remember when all you had to do was jump over Bowser and stomp on an axe.

See, now, I would have used a different strategy against this boss, which would have been to turn the game off and play something else.

It's not a real game unless you lose all your big weapons every time you die.

Also: Japan.

In Japan, fun happens when performing high-stress tasks while being yelled at by a shrill woman.

My strategy composes entirely of "Dump every bomb I have at once on the boss" and "Hope this game has a forgiving continue policy."

I'd probably get hypnotized by the bullet patterns long before I beat the boss.

This looks like the opposite of fun.

Although the low resolution video probably doesn't help - the boss comes across as just a yellowish lump with an annoying laugh.

For all ya'll that don't know, Ultra-mode is a cruel joke aimed only at the most hardcore shootemup fan. Most players stick with normal or manic.

I hope you can stick your dick into a special hole to get fellated in honor of your victory. Anything else would be a hollow victory after that.
