It's graphics didn't look too different from what you would find in other systems of it's era (Genesis, TurboGrafix, etc). Also it looks like the processor was 16-bit. Guess the guys who made this presentation were misinformed. Still an interesting piece of videogame history.

It's hard to explain how psychotically excited I was about this thing, aged, what, 9 or 10. It was detailed lovingly in various of the UK computer mags, and it's form, even the graphics of it's "games" are still burned into my memory, 20 years later. Really fascinating to see it again.

Wow I remember actually waiting for that system when it was anounced, it was an interesting time. IIRC one of the first announced games was another jeff minter delirium.
Konix was originally a joystick manufacturer, that would explain the engineers going overboard and wasting all the budget on controllers, chair and accessories.
It could have been an interesting console like some sort of early WII though although piracy(games 3.5 standard disks?), obsolete architecture (no sprites) and lack of software would have seriously threatened its life expectancy.

I wonder if their plan was to let people pirate the games in hopes of selling more chairs. Also, I want to know more about the chair cover. Didn't it get kind of.. humid in there?

I wonder if this was made for investors, because they're talking about stuff that doesn't actually seem to exist yet.

Awesome, and nearly half the remaining advert is about accessories apparently. Back in the days when a fully gyroscopic gaming chair with force-feedback steering and a pull-over cover was more important than money, gameplay, or your eyesight.
