The Great Hippo  - 2008-02-18
A mini-game where we navigate a cartoon semen through a dystopian landscape of asteroids, explosive walnuts, snowflakes, and smiley faces. Played to a soundtrack that sounds like three drunk "bros" playing a Casio keyboard and singing off-key while trying to be as offensive as possible. And yet failing to offend anyone.
It's like a bunch of frat boys kidnapped a bunch of programmers and kept them locked up in their basement until they made a video-game just for them.

citrusmirakel - 2008-02-18 I rented this, and I actually appreciated the swimming sperm game. Not the thing itself, but the idea of dynamic conversation appeals to me, and this game had vocal strings for each good and bad icon you can navigate through.
That's something I've never seen before, and that was something I appreciated.
But, the game is... about as funny as this clip

FABIO2 - 2008-02-19 I liked the conversation mechanic for capturing the mindset of a guy trying to spin a fantastical web of bullshit in order to get laid. Maybe not hilarious, but amusing.
I still think it was more entertaining than the old games though. Can anyone with a better memory remember a knee slapping joke from them?

To be fair, this is one of the newer Larry games. I played some of the old ones and they were basically as clever as your standard Kinds Quest game but with cartoon boobies.

I guess the old games were the bomb when we were kids just starting to get interested in girls back before the internet but hadn't yet found a stash of porn in the woods so typing in "fuck girl" to see some censored pixels was very memorable.

Claiming that the Leisure suit Larry series is classic art not to be defiled though, come on guys.

Quad9Damage - 2008-02-18 The only joke that I specifically recall is that you could type "masturbate" into the parser and get "The whole point of this was to stop doing that!" as a response.
Anyway, the old Larry games had some fairly clever writing, but they were very frustrating. If there was something you didn't do or an item you failed to pick up early in the game, you could find yourself stuck later on and have to start the entire thing over.

Man this is awful. The originals weren't great but they were decent enough, I mean I had an alright time playing them and all and like some of the Sierra game series later attempts at continuing the series got worse and worse and even worse.
