The original idea for the Ronnie Dobbs movie was Ronnie Dobbs vs. Europe. At the end, he gets into a drunken fistfight with the Loch Ness Monster and kills it with his bare hands. As a reward for killing the monster, he gets to sleep with the queen of England (who would be a nude 80-90-year-old woman). There is a tender "Red Shoe Diaries" softcore porn scene, then, in the last frame, Ronnie sneaks out of the window of the castle, his shoes and the Crown Jewels under one arm, the queen's VCR under the other.

Unfortunately, saner heads prevailed. They commented on the DVDs that, in hindsight, they should've gone with it since the movie turned into a horrible clusterfuck anyway.

One of the weakest bits ever done on Mr. Show. So of course they made it into a movie.

The first season has a fair bit of material that is funny when performed live but not so much on TV, same with Kids in the Hall.

I hate that Dennis Miller shit Cross pulls in the middle. Still, some funny lines.
