Man, in 1979 dollars (Bank of Canada tells me that's about 5 today) for Star Wars? How much were theatre tickets back then? ? ? How long before the fretting and furious movie executives got the idea of "Hay! Why don't we sell these movies on tape?" There's over 0 million in revenue out there, apaprently.

Good to know stupidity has been on the march in the movie industry for decades.
