I've been thinking for a while: What if Travolta or Cruise or some other major celeb Scientologist comes to their senses and comes out denouncing the whole thing? Would they get murdered or what? Sadly, this guy doesn't really fit the bill so we'll have to wait a little longer to find out.

Serious question though: both current and former Scientologists always talk about how high level members are "out there doing stuff." And I've heard this referred to a lot, that they are somehow helping humanity and pulling people from burning buildings and randomly showing up to help old ladies across the street and that kind of portrayal. Where does this come from when it's such obvious bullshit? Exactly how are these people "out there helping humanity?" What, just by trying to get other people to join? Is that what they mean?
