Wonder Showzen was just too far ahead of its time.

snothouse - 2008-04-20

No, I think it was pretty on schedule.

I beg forgiveness for not watching this show when it was on, though I likely didn't get the channel due to redneck geography.

It was on MTV, and for every funny minute, there were like twenty mind-numbingly boring ones. So you didn't really miss anything.

DrVital - 2008-04-22

MTV2 actually.

I think it was broadcast in some guy's basement.

Find the episodes on Usenet. Then you can skip the boring "shocking" Sesame Street puppet parodies and skip to gems like this.

The joy of Wonder Showzen wasn't being shocking or irony, it was getting kids to say ballsy stuff like this. Sure some adult was egging him on, but in 10 years when he's grown up, he will be real fuckin' proud of his comedy.

The kids know they're being shocking and revel in their power over adults. Good stuff.

the hilarious thing is that the guy that actually fought hitler was the most laid back about the whole situation. god bless him.
