a little back story on this one:

i guess the promoter was not so impressed with bollack's physique but dinklenuts kept pleading with him that he was some kind of TKD prodigy so promoter caved and let him fight only he had fulton promise not to use strikes.

the rest is history...

everytime i watch this classic i can't help but LOL at his badass face & entrance

i think of a certain bouncer here on POE

chumbucket - 2008-05-01

for me I couldn't stop lauging at the huge difference between the entrance and the backboard exit a mere 44 seconds later.

Hooper_X - 2008-05-01

Oh man. That's gotta suck for the ginger kid.

Diogenes - 2008-05-01

I did not know "pick up tiny man and smash him into floor" was an actual move.

waxeater - 2008-05-01

It's called a suplex.

Stopheles - 2008-05-05

More of an uranage, really.

Syd Midnight - 2009-08-08

Seanbaby calls it a real-life Undertaker choke slam in his Cracked MMA article. From his post-fight analysis:

"Jeremy's body seemed to know what was coming even before impact, and the rodent part of his brain engaged its natural defenses. He went limp on the way up, hoping the predator would mistake him for dead. Post-impact, it was a different story. While wide awake, each of Jeremy Bullock's limbs tried to escape from his body in different directions, probably to find four different lawyers to sue the fight promoter that allowed this circus. Ike Turner has been in fairer fights than this."

SolRo - 2008-05-01

so what did he break exactly?

but the weight difference between them looks like it's more than 30 lbs

sosage - 2008-05-01

His soul.

takewithfood - 2008-05-01

I was going to go with his pride, as he evidently forgot to leave that at home.

nubilus - 2008-05-01

notice the "met my creator O face"

glendower - 2008-05-01

Yeah, the weight difference here is ridiculous.

Unsung - 2008-05-01

"subfighter.com"

Fitting name.

waxeater - 2008-05-01

A couple of things:

Pride used to have open weight tournaments pretty frequently, so the idea of a guy fighting someone thirty pounds heavier than them isn't all that strange in the world of MMA. And Fulton had even promised not to strike him.

Secondly, that weight is what they weigh in at a day or two earlier. The reason Fulton looks heavier than 200 during the fight is most likely because he cut down hard to 200 to weigh in and then put that weight back on (and it's usually just water weight.)

FINALLY, Fulton even looks injured as he limps down to the cage.

I love the difference in demeanors as they show Bollack and Fulton in their respective corners. While he rookie Bollack dances and mugs, the veteran Fulton just chills like he's taking the train into work.

SolRo - 2008-05-01

no, it looks like it's more than 30 lbs, made more suspicious by both their weights being given as such even numbers

Menudo con queso - 2008-05-01

If that guy's 150 lbs when sopping wet, I'm Claudia Schiffer. Which I am.

I like to think of this as also being a lesson in the effectiveness of "putting on your game face."

For a stone killer, Fulton seems like kind of a sweetheart.

kthorjensen - 2008-05-01

His face after he hits the ground is just spectacular, you can almost read his mind as he's thinking "Ohshit whatdidIdo whatdidIdo whatdidIdo????"

Desidiosus - 2008-05-01

You can see the point where the pain hits him and his eyes almost explode.

Mike Tyson?! - 2008-05-01

You KNOW he imagined that first kick was going to be devastating and he was just going to do some splits and have all the ladies in the arena throw their panties into the ring.

Reality did not work out that way for our young fighter. :(

Enjoy - 2008-05-01

"but i have a *black belt* in tae kwon do and i've seen every episode of Naruto"

dancingshadow - 2008-05-01

Tae kwon do... the ridiculously incomplete fighting system.

takewithfood - 2008-05-01

But it's great cardio!

Wombles - 2010-03-11

Comparable to tae-bo, but you trade the kicks for punches.
Less stretching.

Sean Robinson - 2008-05-01

Probably the funniest thing about it is that the slam made him a paraplegic and he ended up killing himself with a shotgun.

Seriously:

kthorjensen - 2008-05-01

Oh, Sean, you lying liar who tells lies. Bullock fought (and lost) again in 2007.

http://www.mmauniverse.com/fighters/SS13322

Rabid Vegan - 2008-05-01

You lie!

vissarion - 2008-05-01

You son of a bitch

dancingshadow - 2008-05-01

Wow... he managed to lose in even a shorter amount of time the second time.

RockBolt - 2008-05-01

He practiced for 10 years and shaved 17 seconds off his losing time!

Sean Robinson - 2008-05-01

You try and avoid an arm-bar while steering your wheelchair around a cage, you insensitive assholes.

Sean Robinson - 2008-05-01

And are also dead from a suicide.

HURF BLURF DUH - 2008-05-01

Shit, where's the clip of that match? A wheelchair-bound suicide victim getting in the ring? Now THAT'S what I call MMA Massacre Week!

Frank Rizzo - 2008-05-01

pwned

Monchiles Monchiles - 2008-05-01

I loved the multiple replays.

Udderdude - 2008-05-01

Mommy, what is excruciating pain like? ... oh.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2008-05-01

Ectomorph build for men is God's cruel joke.

halon - 2008-05-01

This is kind of how I would have imagined the fight in the "meet the scout" video would have actually turned out.

I would also pay internet money to hear the heavy weapons guy acting as a commentator for this clip.

Screwtape - 2008-05-01

I knew it was gonna be bad when one of his handlers had a mullet.

Poor Excuse - 2008-05-01

Tae Kwon Doh!

That's right, I tell jokes, with lame simpsons references, that only a handicapped child would laugh at.

retrocious - 2008-05-01

I love the look on Fulton's face as he makes his way out of the ring. It's like he's realizing exactly how little he just accomplished.

UnderANeonHalo - 2008-05-02

Man I feel bad for Fulton, I'd hate to be roped into a fight like this. Pathetic...

That said, fucking hilarious! I demand a rematch!

mcsancherson - 2008-05-04

i wanted to see that douche eat some mat from the second i saw he was from salt lake city

GusPlease - 2008-05-22

I bet the doorbell at Fulton's apartment plays the chorus to "Takin' Care of Business."

athodyd - 2008-07-01

I like how Fulton sort of walks over as if to offer help and the ref waves him away like YOU'VE DONE ENOUGH

The Townleybomb - 2008-07-03

This isn't playing all the way through for me, so I only saw it up to the point where the redheaded guy jumps over the other guy, but with a move that badass, I have no doubt that he won!

Cleaner82 - 2008-07-28

This is only one step away from the guy that thought he could yell his opponents to death.

Billie_J_Buttfuck - 2008-08-15

Five stars for the 'is he okay?' look Fulton gives.

Hummana Hummana Hummana - 2008-08-21

That was the "Fuck, I'm going to jail tonight." look.

William Batty - 2008-11-18

No amount of training can substitute for being very large, strong, and indifferent to all stimuli.

phalsebob - 2008-11-19

Why do they even let TKD guys fight? Fucking Tae Bo is better.

kingofthenothing - 2009-04-02

I don't know. I'm also not sure why every TKD expert happens to be a runty beanpole with a crazy look in their eye and a father in prison.

Mayberry Pancakes - 2009-03-20

I know shit about MMA but this has been one of my favorite videos for ages. I imagine the big guy goes home to his wife and kids and says "I did somethin' shameful today."

Riskbreaker - 2009-07-12

I knew how this was going to end, and yet that didn't stop this from being so enjoyable.

Document - 2009-08-11

Tae Kwon Do is one of those martial art systems that would really just appreciate it if we could all respect each others Personal Spaces, please.

Jujitsu isn't.

hammsangwich - 2010-10-08

All I have to do is keep my butt in a bind right there? WTF is that?

JimL2 - 2010-10-27

So much to love about this clip, but one thing that nobody's mentioned is that at 2:40 Fulton gets frustrated and starts throwing strikes disguised as grapples.
