Baldurs' Gate 2 had a shop that made fun of these characters.

1. Venger looks like a genuinely evil bastard in the intro.

That was pretty awesome. Now I kinda want to watch this. The intro has served its purpose. Five stars.

I'm pretty sure this was already here. In fact someone made the same exact level 1/tiamat joke.

The reason Eric was always so grumpy is because he had twice as many levels as the other characters, and Dungeon Master wouldn't let him do anything until everyone else caught up.

This is 5 million times worse than I remember it, a pox on Youtube for slapping my rose coloured glasses from my spotty memory.

Extra stars for how dark this show was at times. I remember that in one episode, they all go berzerk and want to brutally murder Venger out of frustration or something.

I remember, as a kid, having my doubts about whether any amusement park in the country would ever be allowed to have a ride like that.

One of my secret guilty favorite things about neverwinter nights is the DM avatar you use in multiplayer mode is a perfect copy of the DM from this cartoon...

Notice that the little guy is simply "Dungeonmaster" not THE Dungeonmaster. So...basically the underlying message of this show was that the reason the kids were trapped there and constantly being fucked with was because the original scenario was taken over by THIS clown who was clearly not the real Dungeonmaster so that way everyone would come over to his house and he could pretend, for once, that he was the DM, only he was a really bad DM.

Yeah.

The very fact that you guys are pontificating on the merits of the D&D cartoon show reminds me of why I love this place so very much.

Venger was great; Uni sucks a nut.

Eric was the only interesting one. The episode that stands out in my memory is the one where he gets Dungeonmaster's powers and becomes wise by the end, because with power comes the wisdom to use it or some bullshit.

The movie should have been based on this.

I wish Gary Gygax had been allowed to get rid of Bobby & Uni.
