That is a money saving intro. Just play the pilot episode back and forth.

I recall enjoying this show. And, it helped raise public awareness about toxic waste. Specifically, the awareness that toxic waste is awesome and gives you superpowers.

Corman's Inferno - 2008-05-05

Lloyd Kaufman was flabbergasted when cartoon producers offered to turn his violent R-rated movie into a children's show. They couldn't use "Avenger" in the title because it sounded "too dark."

Xenocide - 2008-05-05

Whereas "Crusader" conjures up wholesome images of attempted religious genocide.

The toys were pretty badass though.

tenten - 2008-05-06

Hell yeah they were. They kicked the asses of my ninja turtles figures on a weekly basis.

Xenocide - 2008-05-05

And then they all got cancer.

I never saw the cartoon, but I enjoyed the toy jingle: "Toxic Crusaders! They're gross, but they still get girls!"

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-05-05

Oh, good. Someone else can't get that damned song out of their head.

Caminante Nocturno - 2008-05-05

I remember this show. It tried as hard as it could to stay faithful to the original. Given the limitations it had to deal with, it could've done a worse job.

On the other hand, it was still unwatchable.

I remember this show!
I even remember the song that the Toxic Crusaders sang when they became a band of heros:
We're The Toxic Crusaders
We're The Toxic Crusaders
We're The Toxic Crusaders

Big Beef Burritos Supreme - 2008-05-06

Holy shit ... I used to love this ... I wasn't aware of Tromaville until much later when I discovered the internet.

I enjoyed the bi-weekly comic so much more though because it had all the nastiness they couldn't put in the television series.

Woah, flashback; I remember it now - came back from school with my grandfather and we had pizza and watched this. My grandad was so frikken cool.
