Wow, so first it was a terrible live action show, then Dan Ackroyd made the good movie of the same name, then they made the bad cartoon version and the Real cartoon version and now Dan Ackroyd is working with video game designers on the video game version of the movie, can a video game version of this be far behind?

This is the reason why the GB cartoon (based on the movie) was called "The REAL Ghostbusters", because of a long legal battle about the copyrights and who had the rights to call what Ghostbusters, etc... Right as the movie popularity was at it's height, some company resurrected THIS Ghost Busters and made it into a cartoon with many aspects that were similar to the movie (but still rooted in this original version with the ape and everything) and even started putting out merchandise for it. Anyway, when the dust settled, they got that little dig in by calling the cartoon based on the movie, REAL Ghostbusters.
Kinda retarded in retrospect.

I'm seeing the circle of Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott appear on some of the shittiest shows ever made. They are like the Ed Woods of 70s television. They make Sid and Marty Krofft look like fucking Hemingway.
