She didn't kick the cat. She pushed it with her foot. On a linoleum floor to boot, so the thing just slid a foot and a half, then came back for more yowling. The cat was obviously not injured. The foot-hook push is a very common move among cat owners.

The cat clearly has ear-mites. Dammit, why can't these people just understand what animals are trying to tell them? It's as plain as day.
