0 stars for the review. 5 stars for denouncing the fourth Indiana Jones movie.

Jefka - 2008-07-09

You're quite the wildcard, arn't you?

AdamOfEden - 2008-07-09

i like the new metal intro.
the audio sounds like he's got himself a better recording setup, too.
also, that bloke from sliders.

StanleyPain - 2008-07-09

Funny as always, but I can't believe how Escapist is fucking this shit up so badly. The advertisements were retarded enough, but what's with the shit-rock XTREME MOUNTAIN DEW opening and closing? Can he now no longer pick his own music?

StanleyPain - 2008-07-09

Oh yeah, stars.

Hodge - 2008-07-09

Yes, the nu metal intro is awful.

StanleyPain - 2008-07-10

I always thought NuMetal was a joke insult term for this shit, I didn't know until now it was considered a real genre.
That's pretty fucking pathetic.

thebaronsdoctor - 2008-07-09

My reaction to this review:

:\

.....
.....
.....

:D

Stog - 2008-07-09

Good but not great review.

Also: nu-metal is fucking awful

B. Weed - 2008-07-09

I have to admit, the option to beat several shades of crap out of Short Round and Willie would be quite a selling point for this game.

Also, pity about the intro and outros. I bet ZP got so big that it suddenly became a potential IP target.

Jeff Fries - 2008-07-09

HORRIBLE changes

Lurchi - 2008-07-09

Fuzzy Felt

dueserpenti - 2008-07-09

Christ I hate The Escapist.

RockBolt - 2008-07-09

The no more licensed music part blows, Yahtzee's song choices are half the fun

Pillager - 2008-07-09

Is there anything else of merit on the Escapist site?

StanleyPain - 2008-07-09

No. It's one of those heavily Web 2.0 style gaming sites where it's all about "HARDCORE GAMER EDGY JOURNALISM" of the same ilk you see pretty much everywhere now, only Escapist is maybe a few notches up from something like GameLife.

Stog - 2008-07-09

Also the worst fucking collection of video series ever.

Seriously, if you don't believe me, try sitting through something other than Zero Punctuation.

vissarion - 2008-07-09

I watched the post-ZP trailer for "Unforgotten Realms" and counted jokes stolen from 8-Bit Theater, the college episode of Venture Bros., that one episode of Dexter's Lab where they played D&D, and that Dead Alewives clip with the D&D group.

Oh, and this week's review was the funniest he's been in a while.

Xenocide - 2008-07-09

I wonder how Yahtzee feels about having to prop up a collection of horrible rejected Adult Swim shows.

Unmerciful Crushing Force - 2008-07-09

-1 for the initial shock. At least he's still funny as before.

Nixoleon - 2008-07-09

I feel as if something has been lost, but only -1 star since I can't name what that thing is.

Hooper_X - 2008-07-09

I guess this is where we become nostalgia faggots over something that debuted last year, isn't it?

FABIO2 - 2008-07-09

Hmmm everyone says this is horrible I guess I'll prepare to be disappointed...

the intro and outro song? That's it?

Fucking babies

Pie Boy - 2008-07-09

i like zero punctuation before it was cool too guyz

vissarion - 2008-07-09

I wouldn't mind playing Mechano Dune. Or "Deeyune".

ProfessorChaos - 2008-07-10

I'd play Duplo Firefly.

Xenocide - 2008-07-09

I liked Crystal Skull. No detractor I have encountered has been able to articulate their dislike of the film in any way other than "This one didn't come out when I was nine years old like the last one did."

Or maybe we've just become conditioned to auto-hate anything new from George Lucas? Because I can honestly understand that.

I don't mind the loss of the copyrighted songs (I was surprised it didn't happen sooner, actually) but the new music is horribly generic, much like everything on The Escapist beside ZP.

B. Weed - 2008-07-09

Crystal Skull was okay. But that's it, it was *only* okay. I wanted to be wowed a little. Still, nobody in it was as eminently punchable as Willie or Short Round.

coprolalia - 2008-07-09

Crystal Skull sucked because the adventure was completely facile, and the big finale was a goddamned video game cutscene. Satisfied?

CornOnTheCabre - 2008-07-12

as opposed to Raiders of the Lost Ark, where God melts a bunch of Nazi faces. nope, not a video game cutscene at all.

wait a second, what the hell defines a video game cutscene?! that doesnt even make sense! i've tried to buy into your half-assed mode of criticism and now i sound retarded. well played, sir.

OxygenThief - 2008-07-09

Music by Angst Profit.

theSnake - 2008-07-09

My second favorite part of ZP used to be the music he picked. He has great taste. What the fuck is this garbage soundtrack?

coprolalia - 2008-07-09

Jigglypuff!

CornOnTheCabre - 2008-07-12

ITS PIKACHU!

GOD DAMN IT! AHHHHHHHHH!

Comeuppance - 2008-07-10

Removing more than one star because of the music choice = whiny shit.

GusPlease - 2008-07-10

nice jokes I love em

Spit Spingola - 2008-07-10

I figured he'd do this eventually but still the new music is balls awful and undignified.

sosage - 2008-07-10

Does it go without saying that the trailer at the end is pretty...well...you know...I guess it does go without saying...

zatojones - 2008-07-10

-1 for dissing Short Round
-1 for not liking Crystal Skull

IrishWhiskey - 2008-11-01

-1 for condemning Auschwitz
-1 for dissing Bratz

citrusmirakel - 2008-07-12

WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT
MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE

(Also, yeah, the repeackaging warrants negative stars off an otherwise fun experience)

The McK - 2008-07-12

I thought fair use allowed anything under about 15 seconds of a song to be used without being credited? Or does that only apply if you're not making any money off it?

fluffy - 2008-07-14

Fair use allows quoting for the purpose of discourse about the item in question. There is no firm definition of it based on time or profit or whatever, but ZP's use of copyrighted music arguably doesn't fall under the fair use doctrine because the music isn't what's being discussed although it's certainly in a gray area.
