Too long to watch the whole thing. Please tell us where the beating starts.

Watching him mutter "kill me" for over a minute really got to me. What the fuck.
Jeff Fries - 2008-07-17 Soul call, everyone with a soul please raise your indignation

Stalin would be proud!
Cena_mark - 2008-07-16 Stalin would be ashamed. Stalin would have killed the man long ago, and would have applied real torture tactics.
Stalin tortured his own citizens we don't. This guy isn't an American citizen thus he isn't protected by our constitution.
StanleyPain - 2008-07-16 Wow, you're a constitutional expert! Now, you may want to read the Junior version of the Geneva Conventions.
Cena_mark - 2008-07-16 I don't know much about the Geneva accords, but I assume being yelled at in a room is not legally defined as torture.
These alleged terrorists are being treated excellently as far as war criminals are concerned. Gitmo is the Ritz Carlton of POW camps so quit crying about it. No human rights violations are occurring here. People should apply their activism towards real atrocities like Burma.
Cena_mark - 2008-07-16 I'm not trolling. I just want one piece of evidence that there are actual "atrocities" at gitmo. Otherwise I just see it as a bunch of whining over nothing.
Getting yelled at is torture? Try shoving bamboo under his fingernails. Hang him by his thumbs.
Somebody convince me of the evil of this video, cause it just looks like a guy being yelled at to me.
oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2008-07-16 I'm not talking about the torture itself; I don't care if terrorists get hurt. I'm talking about the contempt for the rule of law. What is it--almost half of the detainees at Guantanamo are innocent, and shouldn't even be there?
futurebot - 2008-07-16 "Stalin tortured his own citizens we don't. This guy isn't an American citizen thus he isn't protected by our constitution."
That's an interesting non sequitur - claiming we don't torture citizens, and then claiming that he's not a citizen and thus isn't protected from torture. Which point is supposed to be the relevant one?

Use the googles. This kid's a dick!

Billie_J_Buttfuck - 2008-07-16
Jesus fuck.
Cena_mark - 2008-07-16
I'll bet John McCain wishes his interrogations in Nam were this tame.
bacon-swiss - 2008-07-16 I would like to torture McCain. With my dick.
biclops - 2008-07-16 Yep. Being given insufficient medical treatment and extended sleep deprevation. That's downright cozy.
bacon-swiss - 2008-07-16 You're very smart Buttnutt. I bet you're hella strong, too.
bacon-swiss - 2008-07-17 Aw, jeez. I'm a little embarrassed.

"Look me in the eyes while you say that" is a most evil phrase.

As for the video: I wouldn't wish Guantanamo Bay on anyone.
Cena_mark - 2008-07-16 Sure gitmo isn't fun, but I'd rather be a suspected terrorist there, than be an infidel it the hands of Al Caida.
asian hick - 2008-07-16 Did you just compare the US to al Quaeda?
Think about this question before you reflexively deny it.

Cockmaster Flash - 2008-07-16
Ignore Cena mark; he's too big a pussy to admit he wants to torture Muzzies.

Cena_mark - 2008-07-16
POE's consensus: He who disagrees is a troll. Who's the Stalinist now?
Stog - 2008-07-16 my balls are stalinist
Cleaner82 - 2008-07-16 My dog was always Stalinist. He never admitted it but I knew.
Cleaner82 - 2008-07-17 Also, ironically, saying something so deeply dumb in my book forever marks you as a troll.
sosage - 2008-07-17 God damn POE and it's Stalinist-like prosecution of the dumb.
EvilHomer - 2008-07-17
Of course, what they're not showing is all the interrogations where they buy the guy a Big Mac and let him watch movies for an hour or two.
Cleaner82 - 2008-07-17 "I must say this is a nice change from the beatings. Wait a minute, what is this, Albert Pyun? NOOOOOO!!!!"
EvilHomer - 2008-07-17 No, no, I'm serious. Or, well, half serious.
I know a couple guys who spent time as guards at Gitmo. They absolutely hated the job- said it was the worst stint they ever had to do- but there's a lot more to the US military prison system than our shock-happy media likes to let on. Yeah, there's torture- err, sorry, "reasonable use of aggressive coercion", but Human Intel does whatever works, and for most cases it's less extreme than this. "Good cop, bad cop" routines and so forth: some Hajjis will narc on their buddies for nothing more than a burger and a Pauly Shore film.
Personally, I find that a lot more fascinating (and, in some ways, disturbing) than this stuff.
