I dunno, Repomancer, I read that and was completely unable to figure out why it won both the Hugo and Nebula awards. It seemed more workmanlike than amazing. That was when I was 14, though, maybe I should re-read it.

Put me on board for wondering why I Have no Mouth is so revered. It was written in one sleep deprived, early morning go and it definitely reads that way. The whole "It would not equal one ten billionth of my hate..." speech reminded me of something you'd write for a term paper at 4 am and think it was brilliant, then get the paper back a week later and wonder what the hell you were thinking.
