God, I am such a nerd. The minute he sent out squirtle I was screaming that water types were weak against electric type attacks. Also, that kid cosplaying as Ash is the luckiest ten year old boy in America. Well, he would be if anyone actually ever heard of this show.
Not to mention the billable hours needed for fox lawyers to make sure they couldn't get sued (or failing that, the various phone calls to needed to clear it with Nintendo.)
I used to get sort of upset when a tv show or movie obviously didn't have any research done when they wanted to do a bit on something nerdy like video-games or hacking. Now I can be grateful that they don't.
This is almost unbearably unfunny.. I'm glad for Norm's sake that this got canceled. Still, if I were a Pokemon nerd this would be the greatest thing ever.
That clip wasn't great, but I remember the show being better than the majority of pap that passed for a prime time TV show (even before the "reality TV" era).
