We don't have to wonder, ABC wrote an article that explains what happened before he was arrested.

"Police in Denver arrested an ABC News producer today as he and a camera crew were attempting to take pictures on a public sidewalk of Democratic senators and VIP donors leaving a private meeting at the Brown Palace Hotel. "

The donors didn't like being videotaped, they called the police, the reporter was told to leave the public sidewalk, he asked why he was being told to leave (which the cops call a "failure to follow a lawful order") and then he was choked and arrested.

I somehow doubt this reporter made any violent motions at any of the cops that would require the use of force they displayed. Or the comment "You're lucky I didn't knock the fuck out of you." from one of the cops.

I'm actually a little surprised. This is the Democratic National Convention we're talking about, and I would have thought the smart play would be to attack liberals for playing Big Brother. He could say that liberals are showing their true colors or something. But Billy went the other way. See, he had a choice, a conservative professes to be for a less powerful government, but they cheer every time a policeman shoves somebody.

I LOVE policemen, and I know they get shit all day just for being cops. People try to push them around, and it's only a matter of time before ONE of them, at SOMEONE's convention, is going to flip out. The guy's behavior should be looked into, but ultimately this is no conspiracy. It's just a street confrontation, and I give the police the right of way unless I know EXACTLY what happened before.
