IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-24
I swear to Christ this is true...
The McCain campaign just suggested that Sarah Palin might not show up to debate Joe Biden, if the Wall Street bailout isn't passed by next week.
|
|
jangbones - 2008-09-24 after watching this, I wouldn't let Palin debate Goronchev
|
IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-24 http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/09/mccains_botto m_line_no_deal_no.php
"A senior campaign official says that McCain will not debate if Congress hasn't reached an agreement on a bailout package.
The aide did not know whether Gov. Palin would attend Oct. 2's vice presidential debate if Congress, by that point, still hasn't reached a deal."
|
IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-24 Oh boy this story is even worse:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/24/mccain-camp-to -propose-postponing-vp-debate/
Now the McCain camp is proposing postponing the VP debate indefinitely and replacing it with a Presidential debate... because of the bailout.
Does that make the slight fucking sense to anyone?!?
|
Frank Rizzo - 2008-09-24 Are they panicking or something?
Jesus Obama, grab these gifts and twist every living delicious morsel out of it!!!
|
|
Cleaner82 - 2008-09-24 I think Biden should get up on stage and answer questions by himself if he has to.
|
Camonk - 2008-09-24 A Biden v. Biden debate is the only way to get an interesting, fair VP debate. I think Palin would even lose badly a debate against herself. And yet somehow she woudn't win.
|
baleen - 2008-09-25
A ticket to Biden vs Biden would be worth my weight in gold.
|
|
jangbones - 2008-09-24
Vice President Laura Bush. Or Billy Carter.
|
IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-24 I think that gives Laura Bush way too little credit.
One was a a librarian. The other fired a librarian for not banning books.

Frank Rizzo - 2008-09-24
jesus, last 40 or so seconds is pure pain.
How the fuck does this happen? How does this asshole become a VP candidate? She doesnt know shit about McCain, anything he stands for or ANYTHING GOVERNMENT for that matter

IrishWhiskey - 2008-09-24
Obama put out a detailed plan with specific proposals over a week ago.
McCain waffled for ages and still won't take any firm positions.
The response?
"American's are waiting to see what John McCain will do on this proposal. They're not waiting to see what Barack Obama's going to do."
That's some damn ballsy spin right there.
|
|
prang - 2008-09-24
Sarah Palin sounds eerily like MegaHAL in conversation sometimes.
|
Comeuppance - 2008-09-24
"What is your position on (x)?"
"JOHN McCAIN BLAH BLAH SHIT SUCKS BLAH BLAH JOHN McCAIN BLAH BLAH SHIT SUCKS."
"So, you're undecided."
"MAVERICK SQUAD ASSEMBLE"
Maybe McCain can grow a mullet too.

|
Cleaner82 - 2008-09-24
By the way, as a result of this people are saying that Palin says America could hit another depression.
That's not true. Katie Couric said it and like a subject under hypnosis Palin agreed because she has no convictions of her own.
|
|
Cleaner82 - 2008-09-24 Um... no. No it's not. Why would you think it was?
|
robotkarateman - 2008-09-24 Oh. I thought that's what you were saying. I'll just get my hat then.
|
Cleaner82 - 2008-09-25 If anything that's worse. That's more or less I think what happened with the Russia thing, she just thought "Don't Give In To Russia" would be a suitably 'brave' and 'tough' stance so she took it. Just another frightening facet to a frightening person.

It makes me really upset that I know people who want McCain to get elected and die so she can be president--and I quote--"'cuz she's a total bitch!"

You come to a test unprepared, but tell your teacher "let me go look up the answers, and I'll bring them to you later."
If the teacher is a republican, they may very well recommend you to the dean's list.

-1 star for sheer pain.

sonichronique - 2008-09-25 This was also her response to the VP vetting questionnaire item, "Is there anything in your background that you believe may harm your Vice Presidential candidacy?"
|
Camonk - 2008-09-24
Palin makes me so frothingly, hair-tearingly angry with her ignorance and stupidity that I have to like breathe deeply and count back from ten every third word here to resist slamming out a long string of expletives.

Anyone who supports this hobag can suck my dick.
|
Merzbau - 2008-09-24
Sweet fucking Christmas. The last 20 seconds of that interview are unbelievable- "He's a MAVERICK!" "But he has a long record of supporting deregulation." "Nuh UH!" "Okay, then, show me." "I'll get back to you on that."
|
The Townleybomb - 2008-09-24
Fuck all yalls, the best part of this is the four seconds of stunned silence when asked about Rick Davis' lobbying, proving that she cannot walk and spout talking points at the same time.

You know, she's not as good looking as I thought.

Lauritz Melchior - 2008-09-25
She genuinely scares me. I don't know how I'll cope this time if Obama somehow loses the election. Perhaps despair. I fell into a depression last election. I was so sure that Bush would lose and could only sit in stunned disbelief upon learning that human beings somehow sided with him.
Obama is such a breath of fresh air, I cannot understand how people abhor him.

|
phalsebob - 2008-09-25
I understand that stupid things were said, but it's hard to focus on with that god awful annoying squeal like sound coming out of her blowhole like a thousand fat rubber bands grinding against one another.
Godspeed, America.
|
baleen - 2008-09-25
Greatest president ever? Yes, I think so.
|
fatatty - 2008-09-25
See this is why when you're picking someone for VP you should spend more time with them than a 15 minute meeting and an hour long phone call. How is this not an indictment of McCain's judgment for everyone besides snarky 20 year olds on the internet?
|
rustedmutt - 2008-09-25
I hate this cunt so much. (And, ugh, her voice...makes me want to hurt things.)

"Who's more apt to just be talking about solutions, and wishing for and hoping for some opportunity to change, and who's actually done it?'
Aaaaaand what did she do with this WHOLE interview?
She talked about solutions, and wished and hoped for some opportunity to change.

Looks like Peggy Hill and sounds like the mom from Bobby's World. How appropriate is it that all I can think about are cartoons when I see and hear this woman?
