Tina Fey didn't quite wink enough... I would still bang the shit out of her, though. She's much hotter than Palin.
Godard's Drinking Problem
Absolutely (regarding Fey's burst of bangability). That being said, these are a pretty sad excuse for satire, let alone humor. They're just obvious sentiments delivered in an obvious way, without any kind of insight or commentary on the system that propagated them (the statements, not Fey's bangability). -1 star for every time Queen Latifah mugged like a motherfucker for the audience's Arsenio hoots.
I think it delivers a lot of commentary on what propregates this system and allows this kind of debate.
Guys can we PLEASE focus on what is important here, i.e. whether I would have sex with Palin (no, definitely not) or Tina Fey (yes definitely and we would enjoy a long period of ribald banter afterwards)?
Godard's Drinking Problem
Let me begin by saying that I blame and embrace my BFA for even introducing the impetus for the previous post. It's probably unfair for me to make sweeping judgments on the average SNL's viewer's culpability in Palin's support, but I equate this half-humor satire (which has been reported and rebroadcast by multiple news organizations, thereby supporting its popularity by means of ratings-fishing) as large a part of the problem as its political illumination, this illumination being the intended goal of any satire. I believe there is a responsibility inherent in satire to rise below pedantry and give pointed elucidation to the political debate - otherwise, it's just adding to the problem it's attempting to comment upon. And if it's not even attempting to comment upon the political debate and the entirety of its content is the political debate, then what the fuck is the point. It might as well be a Comedy Central Roast.
And I would still bang Tina Fey.
I am the architect of the Matix, thank you and good night.

Shark is in the process of jumping
Are you talking about SNL or Palin?
Cause... well... actually the shark jump is way past for both.
I really, REALLY despise the phrase, but the shark would not be doing any jumping. The shark would be jumped.
Would you prefer "nuking the fridge"?

Decent considering the material they had to work with.

I loved it. And I can tell you that this is the ceiling of how funny SNL has been or ever will be. Just short of brilliant, but at least kinda hilarious.
Chevy Chase as Gerald Ford falling over shit.
Dan Akroyd as Nixon working on his memoirs.
Did John Belushi play Henry Kissinger one time???
Phil Hartman as horny Bill Clinton.
And also Tina Fey is hot.

You know, after the whole "I drink your milkshake" sketch, I can honestly say that I have seen the worse of what SNL can offer.
But... yeah, this sucks.

Tina Fey gets five stars for being perpetually awesome.
