Merzbau - 2008-10-20
I dunno, Zombi 3 had some sweet-ass flying-head action (even if it did suck).
Bonus nerdery: director Michele Soavi was the AD on Terry Gilliam's Adventures of Baron Munchausen, and the Death prop in this movie is recycled from Munchausen.

This would be a great chance to activate the Cemetary Man and Rupert Everett tags!

Easily Michele Soavi's best film, and probably the last truly great film to come out the 80s-early 90s Italian horror crowd. I mean, everything Soavi, Argento, Bava, all those guys have been making since has been such shit.
|
StanleyPain - 2008-10-20 Oh, this is also based on a pretty decent European comic called "Dylan Dog." Apparently the guy who draws it wanted to make a comic with a Rupert Everett lookalike as the central character. So when they made the movie, they just asked him as a goof assuming he'd say no, but he actually wanted to do it.
