Turns out it's not even tilt-shift photography; it's timelapse and a post-production effect. I feel cheated.

The effect is always lost when motion is added to the mix. The little people running around don't make it look like a miniature scene, they just make it look badly photographed. FOCUS, DAMN IT! FOCUS!
