Simian Pride - 2008-12-23
Each year, over half (68%) of Norway watch this skit on December the 23. Close to the same percentage watch this on New Years Eve in Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, the Faroe Islands and Germany - often undubbed and unsubbed.
The only English-speaking countries that broadcast this regularly is South Africa and Australia.

Europe lost its collective marbles after WWII as evidenced by the tradition of so many of them watching this on New Years' or Christmas Eve

Hm, it's a fun enough little skit.
+2 stars for this bizarre fascination with it in non-English-speaking Europe that I never knew about, and never having seen it before now, despite living in an English-speaking non-America colony. Maybe it plays in Quebec?
