Hey, look - it's my delivery guy.

poopskin - 2009-01-05

maybe he's in the ghetto.

Rape Van Winkle - 2009-01-05

Looks like a crackhouse to me.

bang to buck ratio - 2009-01-05

You have clearly never been to a ghetto.

SolRo - 2009-01-05

the driveways aren't paved with spanish red brick, obviously it's a ghetto.

simon666 - 2009-01-05

Maybe those people are fucking shitheads, hence the security camera.

zatojones - 2009-01-05

how dare that business install a security camera on their own property

simon666 - 2009-01-06

It's more how a cctv system is indicative of a type of up tight anal person, aka shithead. And this is a home and not a business.

Hooker - 2009-01-06

MAYBE THEY ASKED THE UPS GUY TO DO THAT BECAUSE IT WOULD LOOK GOOD ON CAMERA!

Desidiosus - 2009-01-05

Good way to avoid the guard dogs.

fluffy - 2009-01-05

Well that certainly explains a lot.

Oktay - 2009-01-05

UPS sucks. I used to live in a 5th floor walk up (in Chelsea, NYC, dunno if that qualifies as a ghetto :P). One time I got yelled at by the UPS guy for not having an elevator. The next time I had something delivered, they just left the yellow sticker without even ringing the door. After that, I decided to be polite and stopped inconveniencing them with my business.

We were remodeling a basement (that's what we do) and we needed a special wrap for a column. So we order this thing which is made of commercial grade epoxy resin and it's snapped in half when we get it, so our company has to argue with UPS that this what not indeed what the said item needed to look like. UPS finally caves and pays out the insurance and we order again, column #2 same problem, column #3 same problem, column #4 was fortunately broken above the point we needed to cut off. Mind you these were construction materials that were well packed and very sturdy, UPS is magical like that.

revdrew - 2009-01-05

UPS can, and will, break anything you give them. And don't even think about having something overnighted.. that ups the chances of damage a good five fold.

baleen - 2009-01-06

my mom sent me bread and pate overnight for a holiday present. the bread got here, but the pate didn't get here for four days.

So that pate was in transit for four days. Did I eat it? Yes. Yes I did.

Chancho - 2009-01-05

I worked for UPS for a few years after high school. I had to unload 1,000 boxes an hour from trailers. I did some very creative unloading to meet that company goal.

poopskin - 2009-01-05

So it was YOU

jangbones - 2009-01-05

I admire his dedication to efficiency

Robin Kestrel - 2009-01-05

Efficiency? He wastes all that momentum letting the van come to a complete stop. He needs to be ghostriding that whip.

kennydra - 2009-01-06

Oh man that would have been multitudes better.

Meerkat - 2009-01-05

Huh. I guess he didn't have to go to the door and threaten to turn the guy's account over to a collection agency unless he handed over some cash for duties and taxes he was never told about in advance or even when the items were crossing the border so he could get his own customs broker to handle it.

I hate UPS.

Banal Intercourse - 2009-01-06

Why do I feel that if I read your entire user forum / livejournal / blog that I'm still not going to know what the Hell you're talking about in that post?

StanleyPain - 2009-01-05

I must be the very rare person who's never had a problem, really, with UPS. Never had anything broken or lost or any of that shit. And the UPS guys that deliver to where I work are pretty awesome. FedEx, on the other hand, I've had issues with. And the USPS? Let's just say one Xmas my family got a call 3 days after the 25th that someone had found all our packages in a ditch on the side of the road, along with about 30 other parcels.

fermun - 2009-01-06

I've had really good experiences with UPS as well.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2009-01-06

Yeah, say what you will about UPS, they are still aeons ahead of the Postal Service.

Tuan Jim - 2009-01-06

What?

No, usps actually does a better or equal job, which tells you how much ups sucks.

DMKA - 2009-01-07

brb gonna apply for a UPS delivery position.
