It's good thing there's all these witches and warlocks to rally against, otherwise people would have time to actively examine their relationship with god.
I never thought that the embarrassing two months when I was "Wiccan" in high school could actually be of use. But it makes watching this and the 'occult' in the documentary "Hell House" ten times funnier.
I stayed with a "coven" of wiccans was back when I traveled a bit. The months I observed them, they seemed more like LARPers then pagans. Didn't help that they LARPed.
Your LARP comment reminds me of a fun story. A local Wiccan "high priestess" and attention whore was talking to me and a friend about "degrees of initiation" one night at a mutual acquaintance's home. When she asked me what my degree was I told her I was 5th. I quickly added, while she nodded approvingly, that I was planning on multiclassing at 10th. She was not impressed.
I'm not naming names because she's the type who probably googles her name twice a day, but here's a hint: She was on the show Wife Swap.
