That's about what I remember researching when I was in middle school. According to the mayans the earth has been destroyed a few times. Last time it was panthers, this time it'll be earthquakes.
Man, I misread that as last time, the earth was destroyed by Pantera. I gotta say, as global cataclysms go, I'd rather go out with a Vulgar Display of Power than a whimper.
